Would you believe me if I told you that you can code "Advanced PHP" quickly and easily without pulling your hair out?

I know, my friends didn't believe it either until they read my book...now they are coding like crazy!

In volume one you learned by example and coded 22 simple scripts as I took you through seventeen easy to follow chapters.

Now, are you curious about what other web site enhancements are possible with simple PHP programming?

A Huge Productivity Boost Even Some Seasoned Programmers Forget About

Let me share something with you. I did a lot of freelance PHP work for a while, and I was always burnt out on it. Honestly, I felt like I was coding the same thing over and over!

Well, the moment I started using HTML templates with my scripts, my productivity went through the roof! (I'm not going to toss out some made-up statistic, like 500%, because I know you are too smart for that.)

Before I started using templates, PHP scripting was so tedious because I spent more time trying to figure out how to display the data (where to put tags, how to arrange HTML tables) than I did with "real" programming tasks.

With templates, all you have to do is "plug-in values". You make little sample HTML files and leave spaces to put your data, then in your script you say, "Put this variable here, this one here, and so on. Then output this template."

It is that easy, if you can follow simple directions.

Simple PHP is perfect for beginners and experts. Robert Plank (I love using his full name) is an author with his own unique style of explaining this advanced language to beginners. The books are easy to understand because he skips the technical jargon where it is not necessary. At he same time he simpilifies technical explanations and you do not even realize it - but you know it - when you lay the book aside.

Just pick up a book on PHP and and compare any technical explanation to Robert Planks unique method of explanation. The difference can be one simple sentence in Simple PHP vs. half-a-page worth in a technical book.

Both say the same thing except I might have to re-read the technical book because it confused me.

One thing I would like to see from Robert Plank and I would definately buy it is his method of building a commercial web site similar to PHP and MySQL for Dummies. I might have that title a bit off. The dummies book was decent when I used it to teach my son a few things, but it got a little messy with my 13 year olds head. My son picked up my printed pages of Simple PHP yesterday and said "Dad, can I have this?"

Hey, if my boy picks up any book and lays down that damn PlayStation I am impressed!

Not Using Databases?
You're Missing the Boat

I'll get you off to a running start with databases. Learn how to use mySQL to store huge amounts of data as I show you how to make a simple tracker for all your visitors.

Learn which visitors come to your site, from which IP address, on which page, and even how long they stay!)

With my help, learn how to make clever viral services such as a TinyURL-style redirect service which uses the mySQL database.

Well this is something I've been waiting for...

If you folks haven't read Simple PHP, you've missed a good learning experience.

It's like getting a package of PHP scripts with super-detailed instructions for modifying.

Congratulations and good luck with the launch Robert.

The Only "Common Sense" Guide to PHP

For now, let's learn the real useful stuff. In the years to come if you want to learn all the impractical topics you'd need for a college degree you can go ahead and do that.

Regular print books go into details about subjects you either will never have a use for, or never understand. Do you really need to read for 100 pages about XML and EXPAT functions, or how to use PHP to interact with Java applets?

As a matter of fact, you really don't.

Simple PHP Volume 1 was hands down my favorite ebook. It gave a huge amount of information. This ebook promises to be just as good. I'll pick one up for sure.

Thanks Robert.

This Isn't A Study Session

Get thrown headfirst into the dreaded world of object-oriented design as you learn how to use pre-made PHP libraries (like one for logging into e-mailboxes).

  • Build web-based message filters, auto responder seeders.
  • Clear out spam-filled mailboxes.
  • Create a custom 404 error page that sends detailed e-mails when there's a GAPING HOLE in your site.
  • Make images using pure PHP (for example: a logo creator).
  • Dynamically generate zip files and use these with HTACCESS wrappers to instantly create zip files out of folders.
  • All the PHP examples are color-coded, making them VERY easy to read.

Since you've read through Volume I of Simple PHP you know that you'll get the info you want with no "beating around the bush. This book starts quickly and ends quickly. I promise.

You get a zip file embedded in the PDF, full of the code in all 150 pages so you can put it on your server and mess around with it as you like.

You can be coding PHP right now - it's an instant download. Dive into the book even if it's 2 a.m.

This package contains:

  • Simple PHP Volume II - 13 chapters - 150 pages

These books are 150 pages each, both in PDF form so you can read it on any computer, including a Mac.  You can print the e-book and have a hardcopy for yourself or export it to a mobile device (like a Palm Pilot or tablet PC).
